I bought this suit for my just now 12yo daughter. Actually, we tried several from Swim Outlet (all size 16 youth) and this the only one that fit well (others too snug or uncomfortable) although she's really an average size and shape (not skinny, not chubby). She loves the boy cut bottom and even though she wanted a tankini style top, the top on this one fits nicely and doesn't slip up so she's happy with it. It's a cute suit and a great option for active preteens that aren't yet ready for adult sizes.

This is a very cute looking swimsuit, & we like the dark color for the beach so the sand won't be an issue (like it is w/ light-colored suits)but beware the sizing chart is about 2 sizes too small, & my daughter is petite all around. She is 50" & 60 lbs so we ordered her the sz 7. Both top & bottom were way too tight. We exchanged for a sz 8 & the bottoms fit good, but the top still looked & felt disproportionately small to the bottom. She liked the style though, so I chose to order a sz 10. Now she has a bottom (8) that fits right with the top (10) & a spare bottom (10) for the future if she needs it. The sz 8 top is too small for even my 5 yr old niece so its a loss on that.
