This swim bottom is made with high quality material, but the waist band is thinner and does not provide any sort of "tummy control." The skort is pretty short, but moves easily when walking and swimming.

I typically wear a size 8, and the size 12 felt a little snug on the hips. If you are curvy, keep that in mind.
