These are the best goggles. No rings around my eyes, and the water is kept out too!
Bought them in an attempt to reduce the raccoon look I'd have for most of the day after my workout. I'm still trying to get my new pair to fit properly (and not leak). No doubt, they feel more comfortable than the more race-oriented googles I've used in the past. I got these to simply do laps.
I have been swimming for exercise for 33 years and have found that Barracuda swim goggles are the only ones that really keep the water out and don't create pressure marks around my eyes. I haven't been able to find them in stores for a lot of years now, but refuse to use inferior goggles so I order the Barracudas (the standard model is my favorite) online.
These have always been the most comfortable goggles I have ever used.
I have used Barracuda goggles for 20 years and they have no rival. While Speedo once made a very similar goggle that performed about as well and Swans made a Iron Man goggle that performed as well (even better in open water), both companies quick making their models years ago. For those who complain about seal and fit, I suggest that you need to trim the bridge piece for an exact fit. Place the goggles on your face with the bridge piece attached on one side and leave it outside of the other side so you can mark the length of the nose piece. Cut it at that length and then insert and fasten it home. Also, I have found that keeping the goggle in its original case works well if you don't adjust the bridge/nose piece too much. If you use a larger or smaller nose piece, the molded plastic pedestal supplied can apply side pressure to the ensolite foam and this will distort and/or start moving the foam off the plastic. In my case, I have to shorten the bridge piece and this tends to push the outer edges of the foam outward. Cutting the pedestal in half and removing a bit of the cut edge allows the eye pieces to fit perfectly on the holder without deforming the foam. As for replacing the ensolite foam yourself, I have done so several times, but it is really difficult to do a "factory" job! Probably best to have two pair of goggles and send in the worn out pair to be repaired.
This is my 2nd pair in 6 years, and I love them.I swim every morning
