Hides the mommy tummy, high enough to show some leg (5 in inseam), and pockets on each side - perfect for the cell phone or the gel. Similar to a T**, the front design has lines like a swimsuit. Note: pink is on the right leg only - black inset on the left. Also, there's less compression than I expected.

I own three pairs of these shorts. I use these for outdoor cycling, as I find I don't need the extra padding found in traditional bike shorts. I love the two side pockets - great for stashing kleenex and GU. The main reason I love these shorts so much is - I am apple shaped, and they do NOT give me the "muffin top" most brands do. One thing I want to mention - the pink stripe is only on one side, not both, which is a little odd, but not a big deal.

I am a size 6/8 and bought a medium. I felt the size overall was fine, except the rise (from the crotch to the bellybutton) was far too long...it felt like I would be dealing with it in a race. Also, there are no strings for the waist, so unless you have a larger waist and/or don't mind having your shorts pulled off in a race, I'd pass on these.

great. the multi sport field is full of black garments- the pink is a nice way to break up the sea of dark. good pockets. i cant wait to compete in them
