Improved Version of Speedo Watch |

Looks like an improved version of the last Speedo watch that I had. Hopefully it will maintain the waterproof seal better without a UV detection area. The other one was discontinued.

Pros: A) Easy to read watch face. B) Vibrating alarm is sufficiently strong to wake up to or to use during sports. C) Is sold as a male watch but fits appropriately on a medium build female. Cons: A) The vibrating alarm function did not work on the first watch that I ordered. Carefully unwrap your watch and check this function before you throw anything away (i.e. boxes, instruction manuals, tags). SwimOutlet immediately rectified the situation by over-nighting a new watch which I got early the next day.

Eventually Loses Watertightness |

Good watch, but eventually loses watertightness and starts having vapor form inside. It will still work, but it is better not to swim with it, especially if you swim butterfly. The Speedo Watch is more resistant to chlorine breaking down the plastic strap than Timex and wrist closure is more durable, except will break off if you have a heavy weight against it. The version with the UV detector is useful for UV level.

Vibration feature works |

I just used this watch in a triathlon with an OW swim(1000m). I set the vibration feature at certain time intervals. You can feel it "go off" as it does so for 10 seconds. The watch has all the features that you would want from an athletic watch. The only downside is that the plastic "crystal" scratches easily. Watch looks nice. Worth the price in my opinion.

Vibration too weak |

I bought the watch for its vibration feature to be used with the timer in repeat mode. The repeat timer is to tell me if I am on my intended pace during long lap swims. I couldn't hear the beeps of the Nike watch that I usually swim with and was hoping that the vibration alarm would be the solution. It wasn't, since I can't feel the vibrations while swimming. On the upside, the audible alarm was noticeable most of the time while swimming.
