The mats I purchased are fantastic. The foil does not get hot from the sun,so there is no fear of moving and burning yourself. Easy to fold up and go!

The foil side makes you feel like a corrupt old-skool Hollywood producer, if that's what you're going for. The straw side is what I use, not wanting skin cancer. I suppose the solid foil backing keeps sand out though, there's that. The way they fold up, and the handles and tie, make them good for carrying, and the straps are the right length for slinging over the shoulder. I was pleased with the width and length as well. Great value for the price.
