After reading other reviews, I was expecting to have issues with the straps but that is not the case.  These paddles are easy to put on and take off and fit great from the outset.  The contoured shape is great too - much better than the flat type.

These swim paddles are great!  I used to use the Speedo square ones for years.  These are so nicely contoured to your hand and are easy to get on and off.  I highly recommend these.

Thanks to others who rated their purchases, I purchased these. Never used paddles before. First time out, felt they improved my stroke--and gave me a great upper body workout. Should these ever break--can't see it happening, but they might--I'd replace them immediately.

real great fit to my palm. Didn't expect it but they also work for breast stroke (manufacturer quotes only up to M).
I hope the straps last, this could be the only thing that might break in a long turn.

We use it in water exercise class. The contour gives you more control than a pure flat paddle for this. Also, it stays on better with the contour. Bought several for my class - we all love it!
