The legs were to loose for the size. The waist was the right fit but the legs were much to large and air gets into the suit.

I'm not sure what kind of builds other people out there have (I'm a bit muscular), but i used the Nike sizing chart which suggested a "size 28" though I'm normally a 32". The shorts look great, but I swear I couldn't bring the suit past my knees -- it looked like it was sized for a single thigh! I think I might order at least 2 sizes up, and if your thighs are a little thick you might want to consider it as well.

I bought this to wear under my scuba wetsuit...bulky shorts just don't work. This way I can change into/out of my wetsuit on the dive boat - maintain modesty and have something comfortable under the neoprene. The suit is less binding than I thought it would be but not something I'd wear to the beach.

This suit has more than twice the side seam length as the suit it replaced. The old version was an actual "square leg", minimalist perfomance-oriented suit. This suit is mid-way between a square leg and a jammer in length (probably closer to a jammer), fits much looser and sloppier, sits MUCH higher on the waistline (above the hips), and is closer to a "fashion suit",. This design and fit allows much more air into the suit and leads to a sloppy fit around the back and legs.
Luckily, I've been able to find a few of the old design suits, but after that I'll have to look to another brand. The old polyester square leg just fits right; this suit seems to constantly need to be adjusted, etc. as it bunches, allows air into the suit or rides up the legs. Unfortunate, because the NIKE polyester is very comfortable and durable. On the plus side, the suit seems well made and will probably last a long time. Its conservative design makes it a decent "casual" suit, but not good for serious workouts.

I had a choice of ordering a 32 or a 34. In the old days there was a size called Medium that was actually a 33. That's what I really need. The 34 is a bit baggy and the 32 a bit too snug so I've not actually used it yet.
