This bottom is definitely designed as a smaller cut style. I went one size larger than I usually wear and it is still small, but meant to be cut that way so it works. I adore the entire suit, It feels great. Looks great. Feels sexy and I'm 40 and have 2 kids...so I couldn't be happier with the way I feel in it. The chain on the hips is a great detail, very modern and classy. I bought it is 3 colors...told you I love it!
