Works just fine. A hint smaller then I expected but does what it's needed for.
My 13 year old swims competitively and loves this kickboard. It does the job and he likes the look of it.
This kickboard is good for flutter kicking with no fins, but that's about it. It is probably meant only for streamline kicking with your head in the water. If I use fins, I pick up so much speed that water comes over the board. Likewise, with dolphin kick, it's not buoyant enough. I wish I bought a basic kickboard.
I tried the flat training boards at our local pool, but found them hard to use so I bought this one. I like the small size as it fits right in my backpack. It's light and has nice buoyancy for its size. I can even sit on it in the deep end and float when I need a rest. It is comfy to use as it has nice grips for my hands at the top. The flat boards would always slip out of my hands and this board doesn't slip and doesn't cause hand fatigue from me having to grip to tight. It has channels for your arms to rest. It tracks well too. I really like this.
Not a whole lot to say, the board works like it should. I really like the contours and shape of the board - makes it easy to place your hands and arms where they're supposed to be.
It's a little smaller than I was expecting, but it still gets the job done alright. I like the grooves it has for your arms, and the grips on the front of the board make sure you're positioning your arms in a more natural streamline position as opposed to other boards where you have to hold your arms parallel to each other. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with this one.
