Handy to have extra goggles and these work well at a great price!
I ordered two pair for both of my daughters to use and found that these googles fit really well with one daughter and not so well with the other. The reason was that the shape of my daughters' eyes are different from each other. I didn't think about that when ordering so I've learned that this is something to take into consideration. With round-shaped eyes the lens and cushion fit better around the eye sockets and didn't leak. With almond-shaped eyes the lens and cushion created a pressure point that was uncomfortable. It didn't change even after multiple adjustments to the nose bridge and straps. The shape of the lens and where it was resting (right on the eye socket bone) was the issue, not the size of the head or width of the eye spacing. The only other thing to keep in mind is that these goggles will fog when in cold water/warm air so spitting inside the lenses helps - maybe an anti-fog spray would work too but, haven't tried that yet.
If you're like me and lose goggles all the time by leaving them on the pool deck, locker room etc. then these are great for you (or your kids). They're super inexpensive, work great, good visibility, and are comfortable. Paying $30+ on goggles is rediculous and there is no added performance. Keep it simple. I swam competitively for 15 years (AAU/USS/NCAA) and used to wear socket rockets (with no foam) and learned I just prefer the foam around the eyes. The only thing that ever fails on these goggles (like ANY goggle), is the goggle strap due to dry-rot after a few years. These are not "anti-fog" but I have yet to find a good goggle or drops that does stop fogging (at least from a competitive swimmer perspective). I didn't give it 5 stars because I don't feel there is an "absolutely perfect" goggle - but these are close enough. Stop spending money on expensive goggles! See you in the pool....lake....ocean....wherever!
The goggles are more easily adjustable than most. They look flimsy, the rubber band is very narrow. The neoprene ring around the goggles is very narrow, so feels quite sharp around the eyes. Strange shape of lens.
These are almost exactly like HindWells Compies, which I haven't been able to find for years...if those were your favorite goggles, these are a perfect replacement. They sit softly in the eye socket, leave minimal marks on face.
I have a small face for an adult woman and have been wearing kids goggles for several years. Without much for even kids goggles to seal to I became frustrated. A lifeguard/competitive swimmer I know loaned these to me one day. I was very skeptical but found they feel and work great. I'm sold!
