So I'm a triathlete with a cycling history, so I have a bigger leg than most swimmers and long-course runners. Anyhow... I read the other reviews and took notice of the sizing (most others say its too small too), so I ordered a size larger... And, they're still too small. I'm guessing that if I ordered an even larger size that the waist would be beggy or loose, so I need to return and exchange for a different type. ps... they do look like granny panies ; )
This is a basic suit, not much to say, performs its function. It runs small. My previous suit was a TYR lycra square leg, so I bought the same size as that. The other fit fine, but this (TYR 8" Nylon Team Trainer) is definitely tighter and covers less of the "backside." Not that I am exposing anything, but it covers less. It also appears from the product image to be much more of a square leg than it really is. It seems like a cross between a brief and a square leg.
I swim laps. these fit right in the waist, but tight in the legs, and I don't have big legs.
Like other posters I bought it one size bigger than normal and it could fit all my bits and pieces in. It's still tight on my legs, but not uncomfortable. It did look like a old man's swimmer when I pulled it out of the package, but it works great as a trainer. It's super durable, I would highly recommend it. If you don't have much of bottom, then order your normal size.
Picture and description advertised a square leg suit, but fits like a brief instead.
This swim suit is much better than the long bulky trucks I'd been wearing to train for triathlons--a lot less drag and hardly know you're wearing a suit. It's more modest than a speedo type being square cut. Feels a bit small; I ordered up a 36 when I normally wear a 34 and I'm glad I did. They do look a bit like old lady underwear when you first open them, but once you wear, you'll be satisfied
