I love it and my grandchild can swim with us in the pool and he feels safe while he paddles around in the water. He is never alone in the water though but it will help his confidence as he learns to swim.

The vest is very comfortable 10x better than others that I have rearched. I ordered 2 of these plus another one in a bigger size. My grandchildren love them, and I feel so safe while we are in the pool.

The size advertised was 50-70 lbs, however, when I placed it on my 4 year old (who weighs 60lbs) the vest didn't fit at all. I even pulled out a few of the floatation pads around the sides and it just barely fit. However, he's a beginner and 0 pads would be defeating the intended purpose of the vest. I'm sending it back and having it replaced with a larger size, different product that was sugested by a customer service rep. We'll see what happens.

Our son is just at the beginning stages of learning to swim independently, and this vest allows him to be more confidant in the water. He's able to jump in and move around on his own. He's even gone off the diving board a few times! It seems like he does need to kick and paddle pretty consistently to keep his face out of the water, so I'd say this vest is for kids with at least very basic swimming skills. We've been very happy with it and look forward to using it with our next child when she's ready.

I was worried that after getting used to arm swimmies that my daughter would not like or do good with this vest, but she does great! I like it b/c it allows her to practice using her arms to swim without floaties being on.
