I tried tight-fitting long-sleeve rashguards but didn't like their feeling of constriction or the way I looked in them. (It was painfully clear that my 44 year-old abs aren't as taut as they used to be.) I bought this rashguard because it was looser fitting. I bought a size Large, and it is slightly oversized in a comfortable kind of way when it is dry. (I'm 5'10", 170 lbs., 42" chest, 33" waist.) When wet, it gets a bit more elongated and baggy, especially on the sleeves, and the bottom of the shirt floats up just a bit. That bagginess meant that it wasn't the best thing for swimming laps or for surfing, but it was just fine for general messing about in the pool and in the surf. The material is very comfortable against the skin, both in and out of the water, and it "breathes" nicely, so it doesn't make me feel hot when I'm wearing it for long periods of time out of the water. No regrets about buying it whatsoever.
