These shorts are great. If you swim and bike these are an extremely good fit. You may experience a little butt cleavage if you have a lot of muscle in your gluteus max, but who cares if you are serious about performing your tri. The pad is great in both the swim and bike; just enough and not too much. I am a minimalist for running so that was not an issue.

I like DeSoto gear over every other brand for tri. They have a great design philosophy and customer service is number 1. I took a chance on these low shorts and am glad I did. Very comfortable. I was concerned about the "plumber's butt" experienced by others but I didn't have that problem - even on the bike. I'm 5-06 with a 29" waist and Mediums fit just right. DeSoto is adding a low version of their Forza line and when they're available on SwimOutlet at their normally unbeatable price I'll be getting a pair of those as well.

Love the shorts but just little disappointed that the threading is fraying at one of the panels at the back...

Low cut means really low cut. I had to size up one size to cover the rear. No leg grippers and these shorts need them. The material is showing wear after just 3-4 bike rides and a couple of runs ... no swimming. I would not recommend these shorts.

I'm a large trunk guy. 38' waist with strong glutes. These are cut a tad to short, around the waist. Probably better if you are a slight build. I didn't like the 'contractors butt' effect, in back. Reordered the ones with taller waist line.
