I bought a pair of these last year for my first Ironman 70.3. Best bike shorts I''ve ever worn. (I''ll be honest, I''ve only tried 2 other brands. Brands you would definitely know.) These are so much better. They are comfortable to swim and run in as well. I wanted a second pair and wouldn''t you know, they were on sale, so I purchased 2 extra pairs!

I really love these bike shorts. I purchased them while training for my first half Ironman. They are quite comfortable to wear and don''t cut off the circulation in your legs. Up to then I could not find shorts that were comfortable on longer rides. I don''t think any shorts are perfect in that department, but these are far better than anything else I''ve found. I actually laughed out loud when I read in the description that they were "bouyant". Guess what, they are bouyant! I wore them under my wetsuit, call me crazy, but I really think they made a difference! I was also concerned with running in bike shorts, but honestly, I could hardly tell the difference. Great shorts!

I am a cyclist and triathlete, and I've worn MANY brands and types of bike shorts. These shorts are the best by far! I've done 5 hour rides in these shorts with no issues. I also wear Desoto Carrera tri shorts, which I also love. In response to previous reviews, you have to start with a good saddle and a good bike fit before you can review shorts. The padding on the shorts is not going to make your saddle feel better. They just absorb shock. That being said, here is what I like about these shorts. First, the chamois is awesome. Not too bulky and not too thin. It moves with you and is made for a WOMAN. That is VERY important. Second, the quality is excellent, and Desoto stands behind all their products. Just contact them if you have a problem. Third, these shorts do not have leg grippers. Most women do not like leg grippers because they squeeze your legs too much. I've never had issues with shorts riding up, so I've never seen the need for leg grippers. A few things to note about these shorts are 1. They are made of a compression type fabric. You might want to size up if you don't want them squeezing too much. I like the feel, but some aren't crazy about that type of fabric. It is a very lightweight fabric, which is great when it's hot. There is a drawstring, so you don't have to worry about the waist being too big in most cases. 2. They are a longer length short. They are not SUPER long, but I typically like my shorts a bit shorter (like my tri shorts and the PI Sugar Short are mid-thigh) These hit about 2" above my knee (I'm 5'3" tall) They also sit higher on the waist, which is a good thing when cycling for a long time in the sun, but you may or may not like a higher waist. It isn't super high, but higher than most of my other bike shorts. 3. The pocket in back is great, but I don't use it because it just isn't in the best place (right in the middle). Nice to know it's there if I need it, though. I prefer the seams to be the same color as the shorts (that's just more flattering), but the contrast seams are the trend right now, I guess. Mine are all one color, but they are a couple years old. Overall, I would highly recommend these bike shorts. They are pricey, but if you plan to do some long rides, they are worth it. I got mine for a really good price, but I'd pay full price for them now that I know how great they are.

Padding good. At first I thought it didn't work, but discovered I was sitting too far back on the bike. Padding is in the right places. Nice surprise is that it supports the thighs and reduces fatigue during and after biking..................Works for me.............

I was having serious issues riding for more than 2 hours. I thought maybe it was my cycling shorts so I did some research and decided to purchase the 400 Mile Bike Short. The shorts are stylish, comfortable and I love the pocket in the back. However, I am not convinced that the chamois is any better than other cycling shorts I have purchased for much less money. I finally purchased a new bike seat and don't seem to have any more problems. Therefore, I think my problem was due to the seat not the shorts. These shorts have a more modern fit. They sit low in the back on me. I did wear them for a 5 hours bike ride yesterday and did not have any issues, but I wore a long enough dry fit shirt to tuck in so my backside would not get cold.
