These are definitely only pool side flips. They are stiffer than I thought and had the feel of the older style rubber flip flops in that they were rough against my toes for the first several weeks I wore them at the pool.  I would not buy these again but would look for something with a little more support and versatility so I could wear them other places as well.

I used these at the "Y" to walk to and from the locker room to the pool and also in the shower. I had back surgery recently and it is very important to me to avoid slipping while walking. These have been great. Not one hint of a slip yet. And they fit well. True to size. Follow natural curve of my feet (not too straight like some flip flops that make your heel fall off the shoe on the inside). Love 'em.
