My kids - 6 and 7 - now have to carry and be responsible for their own things. Towel, goggles, face stick, etc. No more "mom, did you bring my goggles." If they want it at the pool - they have to bring it. They also have to get it when we leave. No lost gear so far.- Only down side is the lack of pockets. One little pocket would be nice. But it is sturdy, brightly colored and big enough for a big towel plus more.
I keep all my equipment in my bag right next to my lane. Drys quickly and is a nice size where I can fit my equipment, towel, and showering stuff right into it. I highly recommend having one to keep everything together while allowing it to dry and not mold compared to most other bags.
Ordered the bag for my daughter to carry all her gear for swim team practices. The bag is very sturdy and it's a lot bigger than I was expecting. There's plenty of room for her fins, goggles, swim caps, lotions, shampoos, and even a huge beach towel. She is very happy with it. We ordered the pink and the color is very nice.
I use the bag to transport fins and hand paddles and other hard swimming gear to the pool. When my arms are busy with a gym bag, water etc. the shoulder straps on this mesh bag make it easy to carry. I also like that it is not "little kid" sized. I am a 50-something adult, and this bag is just fine for my needs. The bag would be equally fine for a 10 year old, and something they can use into adulthood, as it is quite sturdy. I like that once I am home, I can just hang it up and let fins and paddles dry right in the bag. So it functions also as a useful storage piece.
We have the bigger backpack bag for all the bulky gear, buoy and kickboard and fins, but sometimes it's nice to take just this light one along instead, lets the water drain out.
No surprises, the bag is just what they said it was. Works well.
