I'm a triathlete and use the gels regularly. These things taste like candy (delicious), but I find them really hard to eat while actually exercising. They're big, so chewing them takes a while (which is hard if you're breathing heavily). Also not sure they work as well with me as the gels, but maybe that's just because I had a few rough workouts when I was eating the Chomps.

I am an assistant swim team coach and wanted to try something that I could recommend to my swimmers for a quick energy boost and to replenish electrolytes. I tried one of the Chomps and could not be more pleased with the taste and texture. It is comparable in taste to a gummy fruit snack, but not too gummy. The blueberry and pomegranate flavor is great and provided me with a good two hour energy boost. I think my swimmers, who are children, will really like the Chomps!!

I used these 5- 10 minutes prior to my hour + workout. The taste was great, but they were extremely sweet, and I experienced a sugar rush for about fifteen or twenty minutes. After that, my energy seemed to fall. I felt that for me, more complex carbs would work better.
