I am not very tech savvy so getting music loaded onto it required the assistance of a friend. One of the headphones does not work very well. Those are the only negatives. I went from swimming around 2000yds, and now i have gone up and over 5000yds. It provides the sensory overload to put me in a transcendental state where i can swim for well over 90 minutes hard. The women at the yoga studio noticed physical differences in me after only about 5 swim workouts.
I use the product while swimming laps. The sound is great on the MP3 player. The ear plugs are generally good. The printed instructions are not very good. I learned and I continue to learn by experimenting with useage to discover how to use product. At this point I am trying to learn (if it is possible) to be able to select album I want to listen to, rather than running through all recorded music. Depending on the strength of the FM signal station, your listening is not great. For example KUSC does not come in clear. Still looking for better stations.
i like the size, and the sound. it is easy to download music to it, and also love the fm radio.however, it has virtually no instructions on how to operate, and it is hard to see what mode the player is on.
I not only use the Dolphin Touch in the pool and it sounds great and the earplugs stay in your ears, but I use it at night so that my husband and I can both listen to what will help us sleep. The only not so great thing is the battery life. In the water it doesn't matter, I can't swim for 8 hours (yet), but it would be nice not to have to charge it every day between swimming and sleeping. Downloading is very simple as is charging. Touch feature is very handy and easy to use. Armband is great and all headphones are comfortable and secure. I thought the original could not be improved on, I was wrong. The original is still great (battery life still the only problem), but it's nice to be able to see what track you're on and the FM radio signal is received very well even inside the concrete/brick incased health clubs!
It works great, but the instructions need to be better (you print in miniature and have to blow up to read). Earplugs could be improved and sometimes it is difficult to change from music to the radio. The sound while swimming is fantastic( I've had 2 other types and they did not work as well as this unit) , makes the laps go by much better. Love It.
Once I figured out how to manage the earphones I could swim without being constantly annoyed. Basically you need to attach the player to your goggles, put in the earphones, and then stuff the loose wires into the back of your goggle strap. I had to change the earphone liners to the earbuds so they would stay in my ears. Unfortunately the player wasn't very loud. I could barely hear the music at full volume. The MP3 transfer was fine, I just dumped a bunch of music on it in no particular order and put it in shuffle mode. Overall I could see myself using this daily, if not for the fact I can't hear the music.I'm a competitive swimmer.
