We purchased this bag to accompany us and our 4 year old son on a wet and snowy trip to Yosemite. It completely exceeded our expectations, not only did it keep the rain and snow out when it was on our backs hiking, but we were also able to place it down in the snow and water with out worry of leakage! it was comfortable to wear while trudging through the snow and kept our son's spare cloths and our camera gear dry all day The two down sides were, first, it can be difficult to getting into while on someones back, and second, because it is black on the inside as well, you might need to carry a small flashlight to see in it when hunting for items.I would definitely recommend this bag to anyone looking for a waterproof backpack.
Looked at a number of backpacks for a sail trip...the prices for the same bag were all over the place. This was the least expensive place to buy this item. Everything arrived as scheduled and I had no problems with the order or getting it filled. I would do business with this company again.
Very comfortable to carry even when heavily loaded. Major complaint is that with the black bag you cannot see what is inside without using a flashlight or dumping contents, either of which can be a big inconvenience. Inside should be a light color and maybe even have a small built-in light. Waist belt should either be removable or easily fastened out of the way since it is frequently not used. The padded back gives good comfortable support, but is a bit stiff and makes folding for packing in a suitcase difficult. Overall I think it is a very good pack for the price.
its exactly what i needed.the pocket on the inside of the bacg has already begun to break away from the backing. the stich of the inside pocket was not done very well. but gorilla glue has fixed it for me.it seems to work very good in the rain, keeping things dry.
I am using my backpack for swimming. My backpack always tends to get wet at practice so I needed something waterproof. This product works great.I think the only thing that it may be lacking is more pocket spaces or dividers. All my stuff gets jumbled together. Not a big deal though. It would be great to take rafting or on an outdoor trip as well.
I could have done without the reflective patch in my superbad mall ninja application, but otherwise, the 25 LTR waterproof backpack is perfect for my needs. It's extremely waterproof like any roll top bag, but it has some very nice features expected in a more complex non-waterproof backpack - internal zippered pouch for high use items, two external water bottle mesh pockets, shock cord lash area on the back to store wet items outside the pack, waterproof padding for the lumbar and back area, waist strap, sternum strap, and padded shoulder straps. The waterproof material is tough and durable but weighs little more than other backpacks. I'll buy some lightweight nylon stuff sacks to organize my stuff in the generous sized main compartment, and maybe a couple of pouches to store stuff on the waist strap or shoulder straps. Bonus points if they sold optional roll top waterproof pouches that attach to the lash points on the shoulder straps or waist strap for cell phones, cameras, snacks, MP3 players, etc. I bought this as a Bug Out Bag, but I just used it for overnight camping and I like it so much I think I'll buy another to replace my very nice ultralight backpack. By the time I eliminate the waterproof stuff sack for my sleeping bag, the weight is about the same as my current backpack, and ALL of my stuff stays dry. There's no shortage of lashing points to secure external items such as a tent or sleeping pad. This is a very well designed waterproof pack that's well built, using very high quality materials.
