Overall: Great solid pack for commuting, too heavy for day hiking.

I use this pack for bike commuting, mostly for the sake of my laptop. I've had it for a few weeks now and I toss it when i get home, fell off the mountain bike onto it once, and generally treat it pretty poorly. So far, no signs of wear. Even the shock cord is still perfect, though I'm expecting it to fail/strech out pretty soon. At least 4 days of heavy rain on my commute (4 miles) and no moisture whatsoever inside.
The suspension system is pretty good. The frame sheet is REALLY soft, great for biking, but doesn't keep shape or transfer load well. Everything's beefy and the pack weighs a ton, but that's to be expected for all-rubber.
Pack size: great if you carry other stuff besides school books. Fits rock shoes, chalk, bathing suit, extra fleece, laptop and a couple books just fine. If you just want to carry books, get the 20L version.

Took to Hawaii.  Waves on the north shore in Oahu swept my bag.  Had electronic stuff in there.  Stayed a float for about 5 minutes before I got a hold of it.

Wish they had more pockets on the inside!

We purchased this bag to accompany us and our 4 year old son on a wet and snowy trip to Yosemite.  It completely exceeded our expectations, not only did it keep the rain and snow out when it was on our backs hiking,  but we were also able to place it down in the snow and water with out worry of leakage!

it was comfortable to wear while trudging through the snow and kept  our son's spare cloths and our camera gear dry all day

The two down sides were, first, it can be difficult to getting into while on someones back, and second,  because it is black on the inside as well, you might need to carry a small flashlight to see in it when hunting for items.

I would definitely recommend this bag to anyone looking for a waterproof backpack.

Looked at a number of backpacks for a sail trip...the prices for the same bag were all over the place.  This was the least expensive place to buy this item.  Everything arrived as scheduled and I had no problems with the order or getting it filled.  I would do business with this company again.
