The inside bottom is snug but not too tight. I actually love the fit for workout wear and will be wearing this is a tri this fall.
Great product but order the size you usually wear in a swimsuit. The Nike Swim size chart isn't accurate. I ordered this skirt based on my measurements according to the provided size chart and found the skirt to be too small.
This bottom felt small and the slit (which I didn't notice when first ordering) struck me as weird. I returned the item, but I can't imagine that it's any good for swimming in. Maybe if you just want to hang out, it would be fine.
