ridiculous looking
By Barbara from Trenton, NJ on 8/13/2009
Size: Feels too small

I knew that I had to return this product as soon as I opened it.   My husband refused to allow me to put such a ridiculous looking swim trainer on our grandson.  It looked as if he were strapped up with styrofoam sticks of dynamite or a six-pack of beer!  And it was way too small.  We never used the product because of its ridiculous appearance.

Sizing is beyond disappointing
By Arizona Nana from Chandler, AZ on 8/9/2009
Size: Feels too small

I was so excited when I saw this suit, as one of my sons learned to swim with a similar model 25 years ago.  I heeded the advice for my grandson about the sizing running small.  He weighs less than 25 lbs., but I bought a medium.  Even so, THAT size is incredibly tight and was painful to put on.  It also tipped him on his face.  All in all, I was very disappointed in the suit; it wasn't as good as the one my son used years ago.  I doubt my grandson will even let me try to put it on him again, it was that awful an experience.

too small

First of all the sizes are too small, and second it is way to bulky for kids to learn to swim. We sent it right back.

Great Suit...oldie but goodie... WAY too small
By swimmer mom from Westchester NY on 7/31/2009
Size: Feels too small

Both my sister and I grew up wearing this suit.  Our mom started us out with 6 floats when we were one and by the time we were 3 we were swimming alone.  We joined swim teams at 5 and ended up swimming in college.  I was so excited to find this suit for my son that I bought it right away.  I was especially happy to find it for such a great price, my mother paid $35 for each one over 30 years ago!  Based on reviews I bought him a medium (even though he should have worn a small) we wrestled him into it but is was WAY TOO SMALL.  I am getting him a large (he is 30 pounds and 33 inches, 18 months old)  Swimoutlet was great... they have sent our exchange to our vacation destination since we are leaving before the new suit will get to us.

Bravo for buoyancy, boo for sizing
By C. P. from RI on 7/27/2009
Size: Feels too small

I bought two of these suits.  The med. for my 21/2 year old (24lbs) and the large for my 41/2 year old (32lbs) (both are definitely on the small size).  Due to the previous reviews I ordered a size bigger for each child and found that the suit actually is two sizes too small.  My younger son fit perfectly in the large.  He swam beautifully the minute he hopped into the water.  However, my older son was left on the side-lines a little upset that his didn't fit.  I finally squeezed him into the large (because he is sooo small), but the suit rides up on him considerably.  The suit works incredibly well though, so I ordered a large for my older son and will make adjustments to the lower portion of the suit.  The only reason I am even bothering is because I have tried 4 other floatation suits that just barely hold my kids' heads above water.  They don't trust the other suits and won't swim without the suit AND an inflatable tube around them.  After swimming 2days with this suit, my 2 1/2 year old wants to practice swimming without the suit.  He is actually doing well with my assistance.   By next summer I have great confidence that they will be so comfortable with the water that they won't even need these suits.  I'm happy I found them and would recommend them to others, but definitely order two sizes larger.

o.k......but
By mojo from melbourne bch,fl on 7/26/2009
Size: Feels too small

This swimsuit definatly runs small. After reading all the positive post about performance, I thought this was going to be the answer to where I could let go of my 18 month old and she would float upright . I don't understand why  her head still goes down face first. maybe she needs to learn to sit back with her weight,I don't know, but it wasn't the cure all.
