The rubber in the area that the toes stick out is tearing apart on the right side where the black color changes to blue. The tear has happened on both fins in the same location. I measured the tear lengths as 0.523 inches and 0.083 inches. The rubber material must be defective.

The flash that protrudes about 1/8 inch above the surface that your toes contact causes damage to the skin when you use the fins. The tooling must be wearing out to allow this much flash. It looks like there was no attempt to remove the flash before it was shipped to me.

great fins but the sizing is a bit small. one has split at the toe opening and actually feels better - I am going to cut the other to match.

After learning to use these fins, I find that they help in being able to go faster and longer. Being a person in my 70', They do make it easyer for me to swim. I order a size large, My foot measurement is 8 1/2 and they fit just right. Maybe a shade tight. I do like these fin and hopefully they will last for some time, which I bel;ieve they will, as they seem well build.

I wear an 8.5 shoe and the fins fit perfect - the rubber is not as stiff as many others so they do not cut into my toes at the top - very comfortable
