I live in Japan and I use the pack for everything! I go to and from work, and other places with plenty of room to carry all that I need! just recently took it with me climbing Mt Fuji and man did it take a beating and is still like new! Was expecting the mat included to be a little more rugged, but its easy to just put to the side when not using! If you are very active this will do the job and still look good!
