i do aquatic therapy and, combined with my thermal rashguard, i was able to be in the pool until last week! the best thing, however, is also the worst thing about them. they insulate so well when im not in the water they make me sweat and i can get pretty gamey.

I bought these shorts for layering when surfing. The side panels and crotch panel are spandex, thin spandex.
These shorts may be good for other sports, like swimming.
As all the surfers out there know a pocket of cold water collects in the crotch when sitting on your board waiting for the next set. These shorts will flow water in that area. They are useless for surfing.
