I ordered this for my 21-month-old son to wear at his baby swim class. It is adorable (I actually really like the trendy pirate-like skulls-and-crossbones on the sides) and keeps him much warmer than a regular swimsuit. My son is very big for his age - (approx 36 in tall and approx 35 lbs) - so I ordered him a size 3T. It fits, but just barely, and doesn't have any extra room in the diaper area for the swim diaper. So I kind of wish I had gotten a size 4T. But we have been doing fine with the 3T and have gotten lots of compliments at baby swim class! Overall, I highly recommend this product, just order a size bigger than you normally would!
My son wears this suit for toddler swim class with parent at an indoor pool. It keeps him warm. The suit is constructed well and easy to put on. He loves the suit! I ordered a size larger because I wanted him to be able to wear it for some time, but it runs small. So, this one fits now, but probably won't a year from now.
HII have bought Tyr thermal suits in 2T and 3T and now 4T, but this one (4T) seemed to run bigger. My daughter is a little big for the old 3T, but this 4T is too big for her.I was really happy with our old 2T and 3T suits- they kept her warm in the pool during swim lessons (indoor pool).I also really don't like the skull and crossbones motif for small kids. But, it was the only Tyr suit that was available in a 4T.My daughter loves the suit because she likes pirates and so she is fine with the skulls and crossbones...Courtney
Our son is thrilled and so are we. I've been a big fan of these suits as they keep our guy warmer longer. Great for lessons and fun at the pool.
The thermal swim suits for toddlers really help make swimming enjoyable for my son. It keeps him comfortable in a pool long enough to make it through a 30 minute lesson w/o turning blue from the cold temperature of the water. What I don't like about the suit is the pattern: skull and cross bones. It's not appropriate for little kids, no matter how fashionable it is. Please carry more patterns and more styles of one piece thermal suits for 2T to 5T boys.
i bought this suit for my 2 1/2 year old son b/c he complained he was cold in the pool during swim lessons. i bought a size up which was the right thing to do, since the product runs on the small size. the suit fits great and my son loves wearing it. most importantly, my son has warmed up significantly in the pool and now can really enjoy his lessons without shivering and getting purple lips. i highly recommend this product.
