I used it twice.  The first time I loved it, thought it was great!  Didn't change a thing for the second time, even checked it to make sure it was latched.  And about 20 minutes into my swim my mp3 player shut off, because it was submerged in water.  Ruined a $100 mp3 player.  Terrible product, do NOT buy!

My only concern was in the difficulty of getting my IPOD in and out of the armband.

I was really disappointed.  1. It is very difficult to get the MP3 player in the case. 2. Before you put it in, you need to turn it on and select radio or music list.  3.  Also, before placing in the case you need to adjust the sound.  These things can not be adjusted once in the case because the clear plastic front is solid and does not allow movement with the face of the MP3 player.  Just forward, back, pause, and mute will work.  But, it does not get wet once in the water.  You just can't adjust anything.  The best part is, if you opened the item, you can not return it.

I use the armband with torso extension around y waist while paddle surfing!
Unfortunately, jumping/falling into the water a few times cased the interior water proof bladder to dislodge from the hard rubber housing.
Stuffing the bladder back into to hard rubber housing proved fatal for my Ipod, because the lip of the hard rubber housing rubbed up against the release latch for the opening. Salt water and Ipods really don't mix.
On a good note the water proof bladder definitely keeps water out as well as it keeps water in.
