I am training for my first duathlon and needed shorts for both disciplines. So far they have been great. They don't ride up biking or running and the amount of compression feels just right.
A little larger than the sizing chart says, but they fit good. Leg holders aren't super tight and tacky like most tri shorts. Overall great for the sale price. Not sure I'd pay retail though.
The Forza tri short has a very good fit that feels good throughout the whole race. It is a well crafted short that has a drawstring (though you wont really need it) and leg bands at the thighs which almost act to massage your quads when you need it most. The felt padding is very effective. These shorts felt great for the swim, bike and the run. Looked good too!
I have used these shorts on numerous training occasions. They are described as being designed for longer distance tri's (half to full iron distance). While I do love the fit, my concern surrounds the pad and its ability to provide comfort for long bike rides. It is unusually thin. I typically ride 90 to 130 miles a week depending on my training so I am no newbie to sitting in the saddle, but the padding is insufficient for me when I go over 40 miles.
Used the De Soto Forza tri shorts recently in an 8-1/2 hour adventure race. The shorts were very comfortable and my legs never felt fatigued. Got wet early in the race but the pad never felt water-logged. Will continue to wear these shorts in upcoming races. Have also worn them for straight biking and they are very comfortable. Not quite as much padding as my Pearl Izumi's but not bad.
