Used the socks during an ironman swim. Kept my feet warm and protected them while getting in/out the lake. Provide great grip.

Since purchasing, I've worn these swim socks twice while swimming in the Hudson River. I was satisfied with the fit. They kept my feet warm along with protecting my feet from the uncertain surface of the river floor when walking into the river. There was no concern about the socks slipping off my feet as they stayed intact. They wash well. Just hose off with cold water. I would highly recommend its purchase. I've not had any bad experiences.

I bought the socks to use during the swim portion of a triathlon where we knew the water was going to be extremely cold. I was concerned that the socks would fill up with water and weigh me down. I was pleasantly shocked by the warmth they provided and they did not weigh me down. The water was so cold that the race officials shortened the swim distance by half. I was glad for the socks.

Before buying these, I was most concerned about size. I wear a women's 9. The "small" size fit just great though if you have larger feet I'd suggest going up to the next size. I used the socks for a windy, open water race in which the water was maybe 53 degrees. Though I've been in water that cold before, I've never been quite as comfortable, relatively speaking. They didn't capture a lot of excess water, and stayed put. Excellent gear that I'm sure I'll use again.

Two things I like about these: They make it possible to swim in colder lake water than you could without them, and it is nice to have something on your feet when there are rocks, crawdads, and plants on the lake bed. Still, as soon as the water is warm enough to get by without them, they are coming off. If your wetsuit reaches them it makes a pretty good seal to put your wetsuit over them to keep them from falling off. It's pretty amazing that they stay on they way they do, even after swimming for an hour.

Great for entering the water from cold muddy beaches and keeping your feet warm on cold swims. Could have been a little tighter.
