Tend to run small so buy next size up - I wear a small (I have a pair of O'Niel board shorts in size 5 and these fit the hips the same) and ordered a medium and they fit perfectly. I use board shorts in place of a traditonal bathing suit - these are just the right length and stay secure. Definitely a woman's fit - no gaping in the waistband like Jr size shorts tend to do.
I use the shorts for outdoor activities that include kayaking, swimming, and beachwear. I love the feel of these shorts. They are not too short and not too long. As long as you follow other consumers' suggestions to order one size larger all is good.
These shorts run very very small. I had to send them back. I couldn't even get them over my hips. I do like the material and the style and I am very disappointed that they don't fit.
I broke the stitching on the string trying to tie it. The string I guess isn't really meant to be tightened hard. Besides that, I'm way excited to use these swimming. They look awesome. I love them!
Ordered an XL and this is not an XL it is more like a Large. The problem is that I live in another country so it will cost me more probably to send it back and get a refund than the actual refund. My mailing address is Miami because that is the only way I can get mail.
Love the style, hate the fit. I had to return them because I could not get them over my thighs. Do not buy these adorable shorts unless you are stick-thin, and even then, order a larger size than you normally wear. I'm really sorry they didn't fit - I even suspect they may have been mis-tagged - that's how small they were.
