Tried it at night in the pool with the lights on, did not really work in picture or video mode. Guess you have to buy the side lights for $170.00. No problems during the day!

I Purchased the mask as a Christmas present for my Husband. We recently went to the Mayan Riviera and did a 35' dive. The box said that it was only to be used to 15 ft and I was nervous but it worked great, everything is still watertight. We were able to put the tiny mini disc into a larger SD Disc and watched the Video and pictures that we took on my lap top as soon as we got back on the boat. It was so cool, even the dive guide wanted to know where to get one. We took it snorkling the next day and the Video / pictures came out even better because we had more light. I would consider purchasing the attachable light assessories because at 35' we could have used more light. Be sure to bring a large mini disc and one that you can adapt to see the pictures either buy inserting it in a regular digital with a viewer or a lap top like we did. It will be in my suitcase for every trip. BIG FAN: Lisa

I only wanted the mask for going scuba diving but you could only go 15ft. with it..had to return it..

Went snorkeling in Kaua'i and loved this mask/camera! The light beep when it takes a pic was helpful and actually attracted fish to us. It does automatically turn off rather quickly into storage mode but got the hang of it pretty quick. Works above water just as well. The camera part did push in on my face funny when I went under but the pros way out way any cons.
