It has in the description: "XLA fiber is an inherently chlorine-proof, stretch fiber durable enough to last through 1000 hours of chlorine exposure". If this were true, this suit should last close to 3 years of everyday use. I never had a suit made of nylon/Spandex blend that lasted 1000 hrs, and it's not like I used it everyday. I am wondering if the advertisement could be a mistake or presented in a way that is misleading. From my experience working out in all sorts fabric/brand, the only suits that genuinely lasted over a year were the 100% poly or high poly blend.
This would be a great team suit for people confident about their bodies. Its slimming and the pattern is neat . The only thing is to beware of the lower back part it might slip down too far and expose the beginning of a crack...but overall its a great batheing suit for thoes of us who feel comfortable in our skin and/or don't want bad tan lines.
Am a competititve swimmer who has used many speedo and tyr suits. Found this suit to be cut in toward the waist, creating a huge gag that would create drag when swimming. The color was brilliant, and full lining was a plus, but the overall fit greatly detrated from this suit.
I ordered this suit because I liked the Nike Core-Cut Polyester training suit (the solid colored ones everyone has been wearing with the nice skinny straps). The solid color ones are 100% polyester, these ARE NOT so be warned (i.e. they are not the "long-lasting" fabric I was used to, but what normal suits are made of with an inner lining) .Pros: Good cut on backCons: Not 100% polyester - will stretch quickly.
Great fit (32) and feel. I love the open back design, as I train in an outdoor pool and can avoid some of the no-tan lines left by thick straps.I now have 3 of these suits and can't wait for Nike to bring out more designs.
