My son is 47" tall and the small bottoms were very large on him. Too big in the waist and length. I talked with other parents and they all said the same thing. It would have been nice to have an extra small option. The material was very nice and well made.

Fits my eleven yr old well, but it may be wise to invest in a lint brush. The material attracts almost anything that can stick to it!!!!!!!!!!!!! She can't on rugs, carpets or cushions when wearing these pants!!!!!!!!!!

We purchased these pants (along with the matching jacket) for use before and after swim practice and swim meets for our 8-yr old daughter. She needed something that was easy to get on and off, particularly back on when she was still slightly wet/damp, and this doesn't exactly fit that bill. The inner liner of the pants seems to get a little stuck and really frustrates her. The legs are wide enough, and the liner is mesh, so it's not quite as bad as the jacket. There's no adjustment/zipper/elastic at the bottom of the leg, but it's wide enough for our purpose (not positive a large shoe would fit through it); the waist is elastic (no drawstring); the pockets are nice and flat and they have mesh in them too. It's made of a nice quality weight, maybe a little stiff feeling, but a good weight for use in NC winter (fairly mild, but sometimes cold). We like it, but would perhaps look at the description of the next price range up from this one to see what the legs (and sleeves of the jacket if you're ordering that, too) are like. Otherwise, it's very nice and is true to size for a slim 8-yr-old of average height, worth the price.
