The whistle is curved at the end and the strange shape makes the whistle look weird. When I used the whistle it dld not have the loud clear sound that I need for lifeguarding. I would return it if it didn''t have my saliva on it. I ended up saving it as a reserve and buying a better one.

I wanted to use this product to officiate college swim meets. The whistle had a "childish"sound which created much laughter the first time I used it. The whistle broke apart from the landyard at the first meet I used it.

Purchased this as a safety whistle for my 11 year old on her trip to Florida/Resort/DisneyWorld. To give her a tool to use in case of emergency while among huge crowds of people. The whistle is ultra loud. Should never be used as a toy for this reason, but for what it is made for, absolutely.
