I'm glad I got the last one!  The only size available was smaller than recommended by the ads, but it fits just fine.  It's a little see-through if the sun comes from behind your behind.  Wear the strings on the outside.  Otherwise they show through and the neighbors will think they are boxers, not trunks.  It not only prevents the "cotton-tail" look for naturist beaches, it rolls up into nothing so it will fit in your hat if a quick cover-up is needed on hikes!  Ho-ho-ho.

A large felt right (a little baggy) on my 32" waist.  Note that these are unlined and feel about like wearing wet silk boxers.  While they are pretty opaque, up close you can see through a bit:  particularly the white drawstrings and sunlight around the edges.

This was a good choice and I was surprised how well it fit despite being a medium size.  I was expecting it to be a little tight. Recommendations were to get one or two sizes bigger for a loose fit, but those sizes were sold out.   I found medium just a little loose for me - I'm 33 to 34 inch waist.  However it was very comfortable and easy to use for swimming or general shorts in tropical climates!
