Strokemakers were engineered to improve your swimming stroke while limiting stress on your shoulders.

The paddles improve your stroke in the following ways:
• They increase distance per stroke by inhibiting early recovery.
• They strengthen swimming specific muscles as well as muscles used in water propulsion.
• The holes and flexible design of the paddles improve the swimmer’s feel for the water.
• The paddles exaggerate to the swimmer both correct and incorrect movements.

Strokemakers can be used in all four competitive strokes for drills, pulling sets, and sprint-asisted swimming. Swimmers may want to consider dropping down one or two sizes during taper and at the beginning of seasons. The paddles are also useful for synchro swimmers, water aerobics and some medical rehab due to their ability to increase strength and sculling skills.

• Size is coded by color
• Includes tubing
• MED yellow for older age-group girls and younger HS boys; college women, beginning male masters
• Please note that each order will come with 2 paddles

paddles

we use paddles to focus on water entry and making sure you don't drop your elbow in the water

Too Big
By Curt from Davis, CA on 6/12/2009

The description of the product says they are appropriate for beginning male Masters swimmer which describes me.  I haven't actually tried them yet but they look huge.  I'm going to return them for a smaller size.  I suppose it depends on how much force you want to use to push them but these paddles are considerably bigger than my hands.

Swim Paddles
By IM from Cincinnati,OH on 6/9/2009

I use the paddles to help increase my arm strength and put some variety in my training.  Paddles are easy to assemble and use.  My suggestion would be to put a few training tips on how to properly use the paddles.

Great paddles
By David K. from Plainview, NY on 6/5/2009

I'm still getting used to them.  I also like using star paddles which do not have a wrist strap.  I recommend reading carefully the instructions that come with them because I was going to use them without the wrist strap and it says not to.

Good product to intensify your workout
By Rebecca M. from Lexington, IN on 4/21/2009

I love using these paddles in my workouts.  They really work your upper body effectively.  I got the size #2 paddles (yellow) after using my friend's size #1 paddles (green) for a year (I'm a 21-year-old female).  I'd say they're a pretty good size for me, although if you're just starting to use paddles, I'd recommend beginning with the smaller size first before progressing.  My only complaint with these paddles is that they start to hurt my hands after while, but it's not too bad.  Definitely worth it for the value they add to my workout.
