Having been a swimmer all my life and a coach for the last 11 years the stretch cords are a great way train.  I coach high school age kids and they love doing these.  Its like a game to them but what they havent figured out yet is thats its actually a harder workout than if they were in swimming normally.  The sprinters really love them!!!  I tend to put the boys on the green cords and the girls on the yellow cords and let them go at it.  I highly recommend them.

The first day I used this item with my team - the stretch cord broke when doing some speed work.  The inside cord broke off from one end.  The idea of the stretch cord is awesome - the particular one I used was not well made.
