This is my third pair of ryka hydro step water fitness shoes. I teach water aerobics at the YMCA and I have 9 classes a week. The shoe is exactly true to size, comfortable; I love the new (no laces) fit. However, I found this pair to be slippery on the deck and I had to scratch the soles on a cement floor to tone them down. I did not have this problem with my other two pair of Rykas. All in all, except for the slippery soles, I love the shoes and would buy another pair. Hopefully this can be rectified.
Use the shoes everytime I do water therapy and water aerobics and they are the greatest. Am not even aware that they are on my feet. Afterwards they slip off easily even though they are wet. What more could I ask for.
No dangling laces or toggles to trip over.Good support and cushioning for Water Aerobics.
I got these for aqua aerobics, and so far they seem pretty good. They give lots of support, though I need a little more arch support. Otherwise they're pretty comfortable for this type of use. I had to get a half size larger than normal, cuz my size felt too small. The larger size is ok but feels just a tad too big.
RYKA'S HYDRO-STEP WATER FITNESS SHOE is an O.K. water shoe, the fit is true to size, but it needs a heavier cord running through it - I find it very annoying that I have trouble getting my shoe snug enough for my taste for fear of "POPPING" the cord. It really need a much heavier cord for "SNUGGING" purposes - like the "OLD" RYKA'S.
I use these shoes in my water aerobics class and they have kept me from slipping on the floors also.
