Arthritis and knee surgery ended my days as a jogger. I enjoy water aerobic classes, but felt they didn't give me the same level of exercise as did my running. Swimming seemd the best option, however, I'm not a "natural" swimmer.  I use the Finis snorkel to swim laps at the gym.  I'm able  get the same aerobic benefits without having to focus on my breathing.  I love it!  The design makes lap swimming easy.  The first time I used the snorkel, I had a few episodes of feeling panicked because I was keeping my face in the water the whole time.  That passed, and now I'm swimming continuosly for up to 30 minutes, which is great for a beginner!

I love to swim and this snorkel keeps me in the water even with two herniated disc in the neck.  I did not have any trouble using it whatsoever.  It almost feels like cheating because of the constant flow of oxygen, just kept swimming. I highly recommend this snorkel for anyone who wants a good workout  whether they have a neck problem or not.
