The video is so amazing! After watching it, I paid for a YMCA stroke coach, bought a monofin and booties and a whole new swim chapter of my life began. I also downloaded instructions on how to do a dry-land "worm". I will eventually purchase a carbon-fiber monofin but the one I bought is YMCA friendly and won''t hurt my lane partner.

As a masters swimmer who wanted to improve my backstroke techinque, this was a great DVD. Clear, enjoyable to watch, good mix of real time and slow motion to demonstrate technique. Good commentary, that made sense. Only complaint is no commentary during the drills and extra features, which is really where you need the commentary and explanations the most! As this was filmed prior to the last Olympics, it seemed overpriced. The GoSwim DVD's are mostly well done, but my opinion is the unusually high price for them keeps many customers away who would otherwise benefit from them.

I watched the DVD with zero confidence. I just knew I couldn't replicate the stroke. Then the next morning I tried and it was EASY. Much better, much faster. I swam in a perfect straight line on top of the lane line all the way. Now I will be able to backstroke at the YMCA , even when sharing a lane. I wore practice fins throughout. Tomorrow I teach the stroke to a beginner. He will relearn the backstroke technique. I wish I had seen the DVD BEFORE teaching him the old way.

Not much of fundamental but detailed techniques. Not for swimmers who would like to correct their bad stroke style but for swimmers to know more different/efficient techniques.
