I found this video helpful, but it's right on the edge whether the fairly light content and sometimes mediocre production quality justifies the price (especially with so much free video footage available on the intertubes now). Some of the ideas are very basic and now more or less universal, such as looking down rather than forward. And you don't really need to see a video of a top swimmer to get it. In terms of production quality, the underwater video is great and helpful, but much of the above water video is shot at a busy pool and it's distracting to see other swimmers right next to the model. And, I'm in agreement that the music is just horrendous.
The photography and slow motion are excellent; the instructional narrative is also understandable and accurately coordinated with the footage.
- thoughtful presentation-good demonstration of techniques-I could do without all the 70's surf music which permeates the entire DVD
This product is informative and educational. Although Karilyn's methods are a little unusual they can easily be adapted to your own way of swimming. I would tell anyone to purchase this item because or its usefulness.
