The fit was fine...but our son was 18months old at time of use and it just didn't help him at all. He would walk into the pool (the kind with the graduated entry) and when fell, he would go face first and the suit would keep him afloat face down. He was not able to roll onto his back. We decided the suit was more of a hazard and I am sorry I purchased it. Maybe the suit is better suited for children who are older, stronger and have some swimming capability. It was just awkward for him and a true danger.

I sure my grandson will love this "floatsuit"; however, I had to return it for a larger size. They only show ages for the suits but when you get it there is a weight range. I ordered a 2-4 for my 2 1/2 yr old grandson only to find out the weight range is to 30 pounds. He is already 32 pounds. Adding the weight range would be helpful. I love how the body snaps from the shorts so he can go from swimming to boating, wearing a real life vest, with no problems.

Very high-quality. Unfortunately, my normal-sized, just turned 3 year old won't fit into it much longer even though it is sized for ages 2-4 years. I will , however, keep it for my baby girl as the quality is excellent.

My son is 23 lbs, 14 months old. He loves the water and uses his hand and kicks his feet in the water. We were hoping to use this device to help him learn how to swim and build his confidence. We tried to adjust it so that it would not slide up, but it slides up just enough that his mouth is water level, since he is only 14 months, he has a tendency to get a mouth full of water and starts to cough which lowers his confidence level. I still believe in this product and believe he will love it as he grows a little, but I am not sure it is the best device for someone his age and weight.

This float suit was perfect for my son to be able to learn to swim in the pool. We took it with us on vacation. By the end of the first day, he was doggy paddling and swimming on his own. By the end of the week, he was jumping into the pool, head under water, and swimming around the pool on his own. He would not have done that had it not been for the suit. I also loved the clips that kept the top attached to the bottom, so the float vest wouldn't ride up into his face.

The fabric is really soft. It helps my grandson feel secure in the pool and when were ready get out for a while the vest unzips and we don't have to fight the one piece design of the other float suit.
