We just got back from the Big Island in Hawaii and my 6 year used these every day walking on the lava fields and swimming in tide pools.  Would have been impossible without some type of foot protection in the rough landscape of the Big Island.  These fit my daughter perfectly (the size charts worked well) and were very comfortable.  No complaints or blisters at all.
