I absolutely love these shorts. Purchased different sizes online to try and the sizes that didn't fit me were quickly purchased from friends and family. They have become my daily wear and not just a swim short. The length is great for the public swim events for all us moms that like to feel comfortable. I have purchased several board shorts from this site and I have been MORE than pleased.

This was bought for a 14 year old girl who enjoys being active in the water. Keep in mind my daughter is going for functional and not sexy. While the closer cut allows for a nicer silhouette these are not in the least bit revealing or sexy. We had to exchange for a size 4 instead of keeping her regular size 6 because the waist wouldn't tighten enough. So if you have a small waist, order 1 size down. Otherwise, the product is great. She feels she can play with her brothers, father, and grandfather without worrying they'll grab the wrong body part. She also abhors exposing bottom cleavage. The cut is not as bulky as boys' board shorts but has length. My daughter pairs these with either a rash guard or sports bra-like swim top depending on how much sun exposure is expected. The fabric is light and drains and dries quickly when out of the water and does not balloon up in it. We like the modesty it provides which allows her to unabashedly enjoy water activities while providing a slimming silhouette. The males in the family never have to avert their eyes and she is not constantly having to adjust herself. I wish it had a full all-around drawstring (which board shorts never seem to have) because it seems girls waists gain or lose a couple of inches all the time, so one has to get the tighter fit.

Most people said these ran a little big so I ordered a size down from what I've been wearing lately and I couldn't be happier! The length is perfect, the material looks and feels great, and the waistband is very adjustable and forgiving. Love, love, LOVE!
