    Feels true to size

I was getting bored with solids & solids with stripes, so I ordered this print to have something different. This pattern is eye-catching without being too whacky. I got the blue-green one, and the colors are vivid, almost neon. I measure about a 29 inch waist and got the size 28. It fits snug but the material stretches well so it is very comfortable, and I would rather have it a little tight than a little loose. I like this fabric very much. It is thin and light but the suit has a black lining throughout so it feels solid and is not sheer at all. It has been years since I owned a Try suit, and I forgot how well this cut fits my thin build. Overall very please with it.

The safari print looks cool and the colors are vivid. Polyester suits in general do stretch out, maybe more noticeable because of suit longevity, but the polyester fabric outlasts nylon or spandex by at least a year - alternating between suits and rinsing them in fresh water shortly after use (a bucket in the bathroom works well). Nylon and spandex suits become thin and see-through within a very short period of time. My swimmers prefer their suits 1-4 inches smaller than their levi's waistband size. They actually last longer with a tighter fit, but this concept may be difficult for newer swimmers to accept!

Have used it in Olympic pool and fit is perfect. The tropical shades and floral pattern are eye catching. TYR has developed a line of well made swim briefs.
    Recommended for beach as well.

I have both the blue-green and rainbow versions of this TYR Safari All Over Racer in size 28. According to the tape measure, I'm a 30 in the waist, but I prefer a snug fit for all my swim suits. Despite sizing down, I've found that the Safari All Over Racer provides a comfortable, nonconstricting, and flattering fit even after several hours of exercise, work, and play. The flat-stitched drawstrings are of a good length -- they  manage to stay securely and unobtrusively tied without excessive slack. I'm also a fan of the tropically-styled prints, which add some eye-catching fun and variety to what might otherwise be a staid wardrobe of solid-print suits. Having just started wearing these suits, I can't verify the product description's claim that they are good for more than 200 hours of use -- that said, I've regularly worn several other similarly-constructed TYR suits for months and so far have no reason to doubt the claim. I hope that TYR and SwimOutlet make this style a perennial offering. (FYI: These fully-lined suits fit similarly to the TYR Jazzy Fresh Racer, which SwimOutlet also currently sells.)

    Feels too small

I've enjoyed TYR suits for several years, size 34 being a perfect fit. The 34 Safari was too tight; the 36 was a better fit. The earlier suits were 80% nylon; the Safari is 88% polyester. The nylon is lighter and more comfortable than the polyester. I was attracted to the design of the Safari; that element deserves five stars. In the future, I will seek out a nylon suit.
