  • 10/15/2013 Fits super tight, but does the job!

    rating star By Abigail K.

I first ordered the Large, and had to return it because I could barely get it over my thighs.  I'm a pretty standard Size 12 pant, and had to order the XL, which is also still pretty darn tight.  Gave me slight sausage-legs, but not terrible.  Nonetheless, I just completed my first sprint tri in them.  Compression felt good, padding just right for the bike, but not too diapery for the run.  Overall, glad I purchased!

  • 11/18/2012 Great!

    rating star By Shutterbug

I loved these shorts so much I ended up buying two pair. I have bigger thighs and hate how some shorts just don't cover enough of my legs. These are fantastic, they are true to size and they have three pockets a zipper pocket in the back and two small packets for gels on either side.
I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great pair of tri-shorts.

  • 10/23/2012 Tight in waist

    rating star By Iron mom

Durable and well made. My only complaint is they were too tight in the waist which wasn't noticeable until many miles into a long ride. My "hourglass" figure is long gone so they'd probably be fine for someone younger.

  • 9/19/2012 great quality but small

    rating star By sporty Ma

I returned these as they dig into my thighs and seem too tight. I did get my right size and I am still in a good shape. Perhaps they'd loosen in water with time, but I didn't like how they fit.

  • 9/11/2012 not for me

    rating star By AquaMom

The craftmanship is excellent. The side leg gel pockets will create drag, though. I am 5"3""' and they were rather short for me.

  • 4/26/2012 great short

    rating star By MELISSA S.

Training for my first Tri has become an eye opening experience... I started with nothing and learned alto thru trial an error...even with the race apparel. I started with a one piece and after realizing that in the process of 5 hours will probably need a bathroom and 2 piece was better option. These shorts feel great, do no ride up, no chaffing.  I have swam in them and rode 36 miles without any problems...happy i made this choice

Founded in Southern California in 1985, TYR™ has since developed a reputation for high-quality products and equipment. TYR competition swimwear and triathlon gear have been a dominant force in their respective industries. The company is also known for its TYR goggles, swim apparel, triathlon wetsuits and a wide variety of swimming equipment.

TYR was the first company to introduce a pair of goggles designed to fit a woman's face (the TYR T-72). TYR was also responsible for the famous red bathing suits featured on the hit television series "Baywatch." TYR consults with current and former athletes when developing its products. Swimmers know that TYR is a leader in swimsuits, warm-up suits, and swim training equipment. The TYR Tracer Series is one of the most advanced technical suit lines on the market. The TYR Hurricane wetsuits and the TYR Torque collections include top-of-the-line suits for the competitive swimmer.

TYR has also moved into competitive running equipment. From running shirts to shorts, its apparel is designed with the runner in mind. Built with moisture wicking fabric and antimicrobial material, TYR running apparel is designed to give the athlete the most comfortable, dry clothing on the market.

The name "TYR" is derived from the Norse god of warriors, who is said to have embodied victory and glory. Much the same can be said about the athletes who started TYR. Executive Vice President, Steve Furniss, was an Olympian who competed in the 1972 and 1976 Summer Games, and captained the 76th U.S. Olympic Swim Team.
