In following Terry Laughin's Total Immersion swimming method, I used fist gloves for years, and then the gloves became unavailable. I couldn't find them for sale for years, and jumped at the chance to get a pair when I saw them pop up on a SwimOutlet ad. They do what they are supposed to do. I swim 300 y with fist gloves in every workout and they've been helping me with a dropped underwater elbow, dropping about 5 secs per 100 on my times. On the downside, they are expensive ($12) for what you get.

Gloves fit tight and take practice putting on. Swimming with the gloves improved my streamlined position in the water, allowed me to more effectively utilize my arms in the water, and gave me much more feeling in my hands after taking the gloves off. After swimming with these for 5-10 minutes and then taking them off, my stroke count went down 1-3 strokes over 25 yards and I felt much smoother in the water.

I love the idea of taking away the feeling in their hands as well as teaching them to pull with their whole blade not dropping their elbows. They did not cheat. That was great. I am returning all of the gloves. Kids need something more durable. Such a great idea. Too bad the girls blew out one pair on their first use because of their long fingernails. Going to search for silicone.

Doesnt fit right. Impossible to put on so the thumb is in place. Looks like a balloon. A waste of money!
