  • 9/4/2012 Very Comfy

I bought these because I had knee surgery and needed something easy to wear that was comforatable.  They are great  I'd buy another pair but these look like they will never wear out.

  • 8/17/2012 Comfortable Right Away

    rating star By CJ

I do love this sandal and think it is a good buy at a good price.  I ordered it in black and it is very attractive and well made.  It is longer than I need in comparison to other shoes or sandals I order in my size.  I have a wide foot and it is great for that.  I do a lot of outdoor watering of flower gardens and also go to the swim pool on  regular basis.  The material this sandal is made of will probaby last a long time and can be hosed off or provide non slip protection around water.  It would have been 5 stars except for the extra length.

  • 7/18/2012 El Rio Sandals

    rating star By NJ

These are excellent shoes for me.  I have arthritis and extremely flat feet.  With this double whammy, I have a really hard time finding shoes that do not aggravate the condition.  I am able to walk with virtually no pain in these shoes and although not dressy, they can be worn with a nice summer dress without looking orthopedic.  Well done NF.

Fits well and very comfortable.  I like that there is velcro is so many places so you can adjust it to your foot.

    rating star By Livy Jean

These are so comfortable and they are nice looking too.  I haven't worn them in water yet, but I'm sure they will perform well there too.  The price is great.  I recommend everyone who loves sandals, buy a pair, you won't be sorry.

  • 4/21/2011 Great Product

Double duty use as water socks and casual and sytlish walking sandles.  This allows me to pack less for a trip involving hiking, including use around water.  Also, the back strap removes to convert to a slide which is convenient for use as pool-side sandle.  These sandles offer great versatility in a well-made, quality product.

The North Face

The North Face® was started in San Francisco in 1966 by Douglas Thompkins and Kenneth Klopp, who initially specialized in camping equipment and climbing gear. The brand name refers to the fact that the north face of a mountain is generally the most difficult to climb in the northern hemisphere. The company has since relocated to San Leandro, California, and has expanded its product line to include workout gear, fitness apparel, outerwear, and footwear for both men and women.

The North Face produces several varieties of durable sandals and flip flops, which include the "Hedgehog," "El Rio," and "Base Camp" styles. The company also features performance tee shirts, tank tops, and sports bras that come in a wide range of colors. "Reaxion," "Velocitee," and "Tadasana VPR" are popular lines of workout tops.

In addition, The North Face manufactures several styles of shorts and pants to fit any athlete's specific needs. With everything from running shorts to capri pants to board shorts, The North Face is committed to outfitting athletes of all types with high-quality clothing.

For campers, hikers, and outdoors enthusiasts, the company also specializes in outerwear. An extensive line of jackets, fleece, pullovers, and sweatshirts includes the popular "Fav-Our-Ite" hoodie and "Torpedo" zip-up jacket. The North Face also caters to endurance athletes with top-of-the-line hydration gear. The company features the "Enduro Boa" Hydration Pack, as well as the "Fuel" Tool Belt and Tool Pouch to ensure that water is always within arm's reach.

The North Face continues to grow as a brand, now in its sixth decade of existence. By providing gear and apparel that can handle the elements, The North Face encourages athletes to push their limits and reach new heights.
