    Great compliment for your training

    We've found that yoga is a great way to compliment our running, and for several years we've incorporated yoga to strengthen our core and improve flexibility. Sage Roundtree's book The Athlete's Pocket guide to Yoga is comprehensive and covers everything we need in one tidy little book. It includes warm-up and cool-downs for workouts, strength routines, restorative routines, flexibility sessions, breathing exercises and meditations. Pros: Easy to use and navigate 50 routines for flexibility, balance and fitness Great illustrations of poses Integrates meditation and breathing exercises Spiral-bound and pages are plastic coated and sturdy Cons: Shorthand directions because the author presumes that you are familiar with the poses from studying yoga in classes No index to locate a specific pose.
